Hello all,
Im in the process of installing my new exhaust, but need to buy a new cat first and it has turned into one big confusion!
Some say buy a stock replacement,
Some say buy a high-flow Random Tech.,
Some say a high-flow will be too much,
Some say get a Catco, and yet others suggest an Arvin...

What is the deal? What SHOULD I buy, and where can I get it?

The setup in my 86 IROC is as follows:
- 305TPI
- Edelbrock JetHot coated TES Headers
- Edelbrock Performer RPM cat-back
- Gutted airbox with K&N's
- Airfoil
- SLP runners (to be installed)
- Port matched plenum (to be installed)
- Some cam will be ordered fairly soon

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated,

if ur goin with a replacement exuast system like 3im pipes i'd get the catco 3im in/out from summit it only cost me 50$ and its good for that deal

 

That's what I got too. It is a direct bolt on so it fits without modifications to your existing exhaust.

 

I ordered a Catco from Summit last night!
