gettin new exhaust....

two things, i'm getting new exhaust for my 87 (carbed 305) z28...i'm thinking flowmaster mufflers cause something like a dynomax bullet muffler might not work well with such little backpresure from the 305....also, the big question i have is, what style of tips i should have...i'm thinking of having 2 oval pairs on each side, (corvette style)...any thoughts on how i should set them up?

I would recommend gettting a Hooker cat-back. I just got this put on and love it. Nice sound and noticed the power.

Ok, flowmaster, SUCKS, in my personal opinion, at least for the first week and a half, but i don't realy want to influence ur opinion until mine gets "broken in". but they might sound better on a carbed engine, for somereason to me they all do. how loud do u want?

When a Flowmaster is on the right setup, almost nothing sounds like it. When its not on the right setup, they don't sound good. If u are going to be keeping your car stock or almost stock, I wouldn't use Flowmaster. ALSO, ALL of the good sounding 1's I've heard have had converters.
