Ok, today i was gonna put on the 3.5" tips. however i had some problem taking the 90* pipe from off the muffler (i had to extend it some), after much banging etc. it was off, but it wasn't the right size for the 3.5" chrome tips, so i started up the car and was going to make a trip to auto zone, since it was 8:30 PM, not exhaust shops open. WEll i started the car, and it was LOUD, really loud, i live in apartments, and i always park in under this protective shed covering, well it was shaking, i could hear the whole thing vibrating. alot mroe then ever before. just because i took off a 90* elbo peice, so the exhaust was coming straight from the muffler outlet, now wut im trying to figure out is if it was louder because the type of 90* elbow i had wasn't mandral bent, it was that crappy wrinkled looking kind, so im wondering if the wrinkle things cause the sound to not be as loud, and thats why when i took it off if thats why it was louder, or if because any 90* elbow peice would make it quieter. im taking it to the muffler shop tomorrow, cause im having trouble with it, and putting on all mandrel bent peices, maybe this is why im not liking my 80 series.


hey IROCThe5.7L could u check and see wut kinda 90* pipes u have coming out of ur muffler to ur tips, and tell me wut kind there like.

and if this seems confusing to all of you, i will have pictures tomorrow.
