Ok guys, im new to the Exhaust board but its time to get me a set of headers.

Right now I have air tubes and I dont have to have emmisions test done to the car atleast til 2005. Hopefully I can keep going to the same person and he just wont test my car when the time comes. SO I want to take all that air crap out and clean up the engine area...smog pump air tubes..all that chit! Will it throw a code?

Has anyone removed all that stuff and still passed the air tube test? Emmisons test? Without air does that give more power?

So my question is what kind of headers can I get, and should they be shorties? It really doesnt look like theres alot of room in there. (under the hood)
Also is it just remove the exhaust manifolds/air tubes, what do I do with all the stuff, cut it out of there what about the hoses connected to the tubes, where do they go to? passenger side and drivers side?

I really have no idea what I need to look for.....
