custom side pipes what do u think?

hi i was wonderin if this would work. first get the hooker super comp headers and then go into either 3in straight pipe or into 3in pipe and in the middle put a dynomax bulet muffler on each side and then at the end a 45* mendral bent pipe that exit in front of the rear tires and then some cool lookin chrome tips. what do u guys think about that becuz im thinkin about that if i cant get my car legal inspection wise but if i do i still might do it

I think you'd have to get the pipes to exit behind the rear wheels for the car to pass emmisions.

Any mod after the catalytic will have zero effect on emissions, so it's fair game.

As for using 3" pipes all the way back: overkill unless you're planning on installing a stout 502! 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" duals will be the most you need for a healthy small-block.

the cops will get you for too much noise if they are too noisy. Some state say you have to have a muffler too. You can put bullet resonators on though.

We don't have the same emission worries over here- Would duals exiting either side in front of the rear wheels be a good combo? At least it would eradicate the tricky bit over the rear axle...
