I think all SLP headers are stainless steel and if thats the case is
haveing them coated really needed.Ya I know JetHot coating looks good and everything but for rust protection do you really
need a coating to protect stainless steel?

Getting stainless steel headers coated is more for keeping the heat in the hearder then it is for rust protection. Look at is this way, if you have ceramic coated stainless steel headers, they will never rust....ever. So thats one good investment. And also you will be dropiing your under hood temps and keeping the heat in the headers where it belongs.

SLPs will still corrode. They don't rust BAD like my Edelbrocks did, but they have a slight surface corrosion on them. A steel wool pad with some water cleans them quick and easy. The coating would only help to reduce temperatures.

Ok when I think of or hear ceramic coating I automatically think of Jet-Hot. So when I said they wouldnt rust ever, I was refering to if it had a inner and outer coating from Jet Hot.

I think the biggest reason is to keep the heat inside the headers.
