SLP or Flowmaster exhaust???
SLP or Flowmaster exhaust???
What do you guys think? Any popular opinions on sound, quality, etc? I know the SLP is single side outlet but I'm not wirried about that. I don't want the car too loud, but I like a rumble that is a little more throaty than stock. I like the idea of the Stainless from SLP vs. the aluminum from other companies. I have a 91 Formula L98 with the SLP 1 3/4 headers by the way. Thanks.
If you have the dual cats still set up with your 1 3/4 SLP headers, I would recommend the flowmasters, part# 17228 for dual cats. You won't be disappointed!

Go with the SLP ss Catback, the Two 2 1/2"
tail pipes on the left side make your car look different. The sound is just right too,
Its their but the sound is not annoying. I had mine for six months and like it. Go with
a Catco cat and then you can have a all Stainless steel system for the lifetime of the car.

I'm running SLP on my 1991 Formula and I really like it. Nice tone not to loud not to quiet. The only thing that susks is if you don't have a way to weld the stainless you will need to use 4 clamps, I had my tailpipes welded on at a machine shop and left the muffler clamped on incase the wonderful fuel pump craps out on me. I don't want to cut uo a $350 system.
