cutting tail pipes off mufflers

ok I have a dynomax cat back on my car.
ok well I was sick of how the pipes on my muffler looked so I decided to cut them back a lil bit so u didnt see them. Well I didnt think the sound would change but now that thing has so much more deep tone.

hopefully you won't choke on the fumes I did. Don't cut them too short. The heat will go right up to the gas tank.

ya, it has a deeper tone INSIDE the car, but its not gonna sound the same from behind, i had my 80 series exiting about 1 foot from the bumper under the car. and the car would shake because of the exhaust, but i put on the pipe to make it exit behind the car, got really quiet inside, but now its louders outside the car. and behind.
