Straight pipe to replace cat question...
I wanted to make a pipe that can replace my cat directly and bolt on so that I dont have to buy a new one every year for inspection but I didnt have the right stuff in my shop class. I know a place that can make one for me but I want to know how much you think it would be. I know some people must have done this before so I just need a price thanks.

I went to a muffler shop and got them to make me a three inch pipe that was flanged on both ends so that when it comes time for aircare I can just unbolt the pipe bolt in the cat. I paid $80 canadian but they also flanged the end of the y pipe, one end of the cat and welded in an A.I.R. injection tube so so I woundnt have to leave anything disconnected. You could also just get a pipe that was flanged on one end and use one of those exaust clamps that wrap around the two exhaust pipes that are just butted against each other. That way the pipes won't get crimped together and it will come apart easy when you go to aircare (assuming you have to go through aircare.)
