Cat converter recommendation? also some general exhaust questions..
i need a new cat for my 3.1L. obviously i dont need real high flow or expensive one, just something thats same as stock or slightly better then stock on the cheap side. also, how will the stock 2in pipes and new cat sound with a flowmaster 80s? i know the v6 isnt the nicest sounding engine in the world (maybe the worst? heh) so would leaving the stock 2in pipe sound any worse then getting new 2.5in pipe?
right now the car has the stock exhaust on it, cat and muffler need to be replaced. muffler is broken and cat is clogging. so i need some exhaust work done either way. just not sure if it will be worth the money to upgrade to 2.5in tubes and get a new cat and flowmaster, or to just use the stock 2in pipes and just get the new cat and muffler. will there be a dramatic way the engine will sound?
