exhaust manifold, need opinons

Well, i went out and did it. Went to my friends shop and he ordered for me a set of edelbrock shorty headers. I needed a new set cause the stock one on drivers side is warped. Ok heres the ??? What kind of HP gain can i expect from just this mod and will i be able to feel it. Right now the exhaust after catalyctic converter is still all stock, but thats gonna be changed soon too. Oh yeah the engine is a 305 TPI w/ hypertech chip. Also remember its got over 200,000 miles on it, but it still runs strong and dosnt smoke, yet!!! Thanks.

I'd say 15-20 hp is a decent estimate.

I have never used shorties, only LTs. I figure if I am going to spend the money and get really dirty, I may as well go all out. Of course, I usually regret it later!!

Pompano about 8-10 Mins from Boca. Started the car up and it sounds and feels like it has more power. Next step is to get mufflers put on.

You could use a Borla or Flowmaster 50 series. I had a pair of Dynomax Turbo mufflers on another car. THey were very mellow at idle and cruise, once you gave it some gas though, they would really sing. I have a Spintech 4" Mufflex exhaust and belive it or not, it is not to bad. I usually leave for work at 6:45am and I have not had any complaints. It is very loud inside the car though!!
