what's the best system as far as power and quality is concerned?

my car has an 3 inch edelbrock rpm series cat-back, madrel bent of course. the power added to my car was about 15 hp and the sound is sweet. a purr at idle and a roar at WOT. its all stainless steel. the only problem is the 3 inch intermediate pipe. it sits about 5 inches above the ground. if i had to do it again, i would go with a dynomax just because ive heard great things about them.

If you have the money Borla,SLP...If I had to do it all over again I would save my money and buy Borla. But if you dont have the money and dont want to save for awhile I'd go with Flowmaster..the dual outlet one..my next choice would be hooker or edelbrock and my last choice would be dynomax NOT because they dont make a good product just because I've heard there somewhat quiet. I'd just go with a 80 series flowmaster 2.5 tails and 2.5-3in intermediate pipe, but if you get a 2.5- 3in pipe your going to have to do something with your cat unless you have a 2.5-3in cat.

Where did you get that figure from? Oh, and the best cat-back is Hooker. Can't go wrong with that. There are soundclips of it on this board from somewhere. Sounds awesome and I definately noticed power increase.<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by curt86iroc:

I installed a 3" Borla stainless catback on my 82 Camaro and love it. Great quality and easy install, (deleted the converter) sounds great and looks good. As far as a power gain I don't know, seems a little better,(wishful thinking?)

What's the problem with that? My 91 formula WS6 (stock dual cats) has the intermediate sitting that low stock. As long as your springs are good, you can run around with 3 1/2" clearance and not scape too much (at least on most Texas roads).<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by curt86iroc:
