I would like to know all my options on headers, can somebody help me with a good set of headers for a reasonable amount of money that will FIT. I have an 1985 trans am with the 305 engine. I have also removed all my smog equipment. I want some that i can bolt up without much trouble regarding fit.

Thanks everybody

Try reading the sticky at the top of the page, should have most of the answers for you there.

Hooker, hedman, Edelbrock, Flowtech comes to mind.

Hooker 2055s seem to be popular as far as shorty headers go.

I just had a set of hooker shorties installed. Sumitt part # 2460. No coating. Price $149.95. No A.I.R. tubes because I deleted the smog pump. I am also cutting out the dual cats. If you haven't guessed by now, this will be a true dual exhaust system with no cross over. From the headers the collector reducer will go from 3 inch to 2.5 inch back to dual flowmaster 40 series two chamber mufflers and exit just in front the rear tires so there are no bends going over the axle and out the back where the exhaust exits now. The shop hasn't finished yet, but I will let you know how it goes sound and performance wise.
