Ive got the RPM series cat-back with stock cat and exhaust manifold...at idle, it is kinda quiet...little louder than stocl tho. When your revs get up to 2200-2600, it sounds sweet. Even better at WOT. It will probably sound much better with headers and a high flow cat though.

A guy I know has one is replacing the edelbrock rpm with a flomaster. His car backfired through the exhaust and caused the muffler to swell and break all the materials inside loose and clogged the muffler. Also I have talked to some of the mustang guys that have reported the same results from the mufflers with normal use. After seeing his experiance and hearing of many others with the muffler I would never owne one of these.
Thats just my opinion

I have the TES headers and catback system with rpm muffler. It's ok except I keep blowing out collector gaskets about every 1 1/2 months. Gonna get expensive since edelbrock replacements cost 15 bucks from JEGS. I now wish I had just paid more and went with SLP stuff.

When you say 'swell' does it kinda look like it exploded on the inside and puffed out?

i bought the edelbrock rpm series catback and it sounds sweet, i dont like the sound of flowmasters, and i had problems with my distributor cap, i was backfiring through the exhaust constantly, my muffler is still fine, if i had a choice to do it again, i'd probably by the same thing.

I wish mine were louder, but it sounds very racy on the outside. I deleted the cat and it made a difference in sound, now I just need some headers. BTW I've rigged my exhaust so that I can have only the 3 inch over the axle pipe, holy crap, now that is loud. louder than just the y-pipe even. (megaphone pyshics) (manifolds)> (2 1/4)>(2 1/2)> (3)
