Who here has Edelbrock TES headers along with MSD wires.
Who here has Edelbrock TES headers along with MSD wires.
When u ordered your MSD wires, did u get a universal kit or just ordered it for your specific year? I bought a MSD for specific year and it was off and i had to cut corners and it looked pitifull. Anyone know the specific lenghts with the use of TES headers? I was gonna use Centerbolt wire looms, but will i have to go with a universal and do it myself or is their a part # that fits perfectly???? thanx

I have Edelbrock TES Headers (w/ air injection) on my 1986 IROC. My stock length wires ran too close to the headers and two of them melted, so I bought Accel's 300+ Wires. The kit was universal and I had to basically build them from scratch. I cut each wire to a certain length for optimum header clearance. They work and fit great!

Get the universal cut to fit with 90 deg plug boots. The air tubes will burn them so get retianers that keep them away or cut them off as I did.

Make sure you get HEI plug wires! Both ends should have 90 degree boots! Edelbrock's TES Headers don't give you a lot of clearance for the spark plugs or spark plug wires. Watch out for those air injection tubes! They'll ruin a good set of wires real quick! This brings me to the conclusion that Air Injection (and smog equipment in general) sucks!!!
