Got the Dynomax Muffler On
Well, it has been over a week now since I had the Dynomax 6" Welded Race muffler installed in place of my Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flow Race muffler. Some results and points about the exhaust change:
There was a definite seat of the pants improvment (sorry no track times). At first I thought that it could be simply because the Dynomax is louder at WOT, but after driving around with this setup, the Dynomax muffler did make the car faster. In my opinion this point alone was worth the change. I don't think I will be using a Flowmaster muffler again.
Exhaust note:
The idle is different. Seems to be a little bit quieter, not that Flowmaster idle yall all know about. Part throttle is ever-so-slightly quieter. I mean just barely quieter and the exhaust note at part throttle sounds almost exactly like the Flowmaster. At WOT it is louder, no doubt. I think it sounds better at WOT, but this is just my opinion (the only one that matters in this case
). When revving the car quickly up in park or neutral at around 4000 RPMs it starts to sound like a ******* hillbilly truck. This is the only downside. No more revving at buddies unless I am in a gear. It sounds bad in my opinion once you get around 4000 RPMs and higher OUT of gear.
Any questions?

It is nothing special, as I ended up having to put it after the axle.
