No cat. pass emissions???

Yea I live in Harris County Texas, so have without a doubt the diritest air in the U.S.(all the refineries in & around Houston, cars put out like 2% of the pollution) but I'm still wondering if it would be possible for me to pass emissions if I dumped my cat & welded in a piece of pipe instead??

emissions test or an inspection test. up there in houston you have emmissions so that means that w/o a cat you really increase your chances of failing and having to pay another 15 bucks. if you dont want the cat talk to some people and find out where you can go to get a sticker for about 15 extra dollars. inspection wise you may or may not pass depending on whether or not the guy looks

Hehe, good luck. I know in Virginia they wont even look at my RS if the cat and smog pump aren't on there. I tried getting away without the smog pump once... no dice. Plus, if you remove the cat there may be a BIG sound difference depending on what you've got behind it. If you run just pipes (no muffler) and no cat, then as soon as you pull up to the place they're gonna know.

Nope, never seen your truck. I was thinking you drove a camaro or firebird (hence the site). If you ever go to James Coney on Saturday Night and see a red GTA, that's me.
