I'll be home for winter break soon and I think I will finally do that side exhaust I have sitting in my garage back home. I was gonna have no cat, just a flowmaster. What would happen if I had just the cat, with no muffler? Doesn't the cat actually muffle the noise some? Anyways, I would only have enough room for one or the other, not both. If anyone knows how much of a sound difference it would make.... Thanks

Well to answer your qusetion the CConverter will have almost no sound deading effect or you exhuast system. I beleive the number is around -3Db for the converter. Go with the mufflers.

Ha! sorry about the name, man, i didn't know it was taken. so that is all the converter will muffle it? what if it is pretty restricted or clogged or whatever? oh well, guess i'll just try and see...thanks for the replies, guys.
