Cat-Back Question

If I put a 3" cat-back system on my car (sig), would I have to get a new cat? What about with a 2.5"?
Also, would I be able to bolt up (directly) to stock exhaust pipes a flowmaster 80 series?
Thank You!

Go 3in. If yours is 2.5 in use adapters if you need to and step it up to 3-in. If i were you, i'd ( although do this at your own legal risk) gut the cat, or use a 3-in "test pipe". If you need to pass smog test later put cat back on. You could likely then bolt up direct to flowmaster. Go for it.
