Flowmaster has discontinued a muffler!!!

I was in my local parts store today getting prices on my muffler for my new dual exhaust. I had asked the guy at the counter to punch in a part off Flowmasters website #42040 a Flowmaster 40 series non-deltaflo. He punched it in and nothing came up but a lidting for a wireset, after saying, "Thats not right!" he offered to call Flowmaster to see why. After call and getting some one in the sales department he was told that Flowmaster is no longer producing the 40 series non-deltaflo mufflers. All 40 series ordered from Flowmaster now will be the quieter and deeper,so says the website sounding 40 series.

I thought you guy would just like to know.

Robert

ya, it was known to be happening. They even changed the 30 series. Its is no longer a 1 chamber race muffler. I bet it will replace the 40 series non delta flow. Its the same size as a 40 or 50 series now.

So you are saying that all of the 40 series from now on will be quieter, and deeper??? I am suddenly very interested ... Are these good mufflers???

I found the old 30 series single chamber muffler. It now has a new name and is part of the "Delta Force" series Flowmaster.
