extra cat

If i have one catalytic converter, is it possible to add a second an just buy a catback system with a Y-pipe? would i have to change the manifolds?

Since the cat bolts on after the y-pipe, why would you need a second cat?

Think he means a dual cat system, not a second in-line cat.
