He would be the one to answer that question, I think.

Mine was scheduled for delivery yestarday but got rescheuled to today and it came.. It's gonna be fun figuring out where to put this switch its kinda thick.. I'll hopefully install it on sunday provided it doesn't rain.. BTW, Where's the easiest place to go through to get from the cutout inside the interior Here's a pic..

Has anyone else installed theirs yet? I installed mine yestarday.. I had to cut off that huge weather proof connector beacuse I didn't know how else to get it through to the interior besides going through the hole around the shifter and that connector of course is too big.. I tried just poping al 4 of the peices through the connector but I got to the last one and it bent so I just cut the damn thing off and stripped/shrink tubed the wires back together.. I'm a little disappointed beacuse the plate leaks when it's closed
.. Let me know how it all worked out for you guys.. Aside from that it works great, good product! Here's a pic, but my exhaust and cutout look terrible
This plate does hang a little lower costing some extra ground clerance.. My cutout used to bang coming out of my driveway so this defintely will..

I got mine today in the mail!
Probably gonna install it this Wed. when I have some time.
I'm gonna have to redo my exhaust tho, I had "dual exhaust" from the headers, dual cats, and then it goes into a single pipe then the muffler. I'm probably gonna have to get a y pipe and put that on after the headers, then the cut out, then use one of my cats, then muffler. (pipes inbetween all this stuff, naturaly). Guess I gotta find someone with a welder

..
I recieved mine a few days ago but haven't installed yet. If they do leak could we put some type of sylicone beed so the plate will seal better? High temp stuff or something? Anyone had problems with these things leaking before?

The bottom of my plate has some kind of silicone on it already and thats where the air is coming out from.. I've emailed them asking if they've had it happen before and if theres a way to fix this and have not gotten a response yet.. I guess I'll try again soon.. I haven't tried to put any other silicone there yet.. I wouldn't count them out just yet as no one else has given any feedback but me so maybe it's just mine.. Post your results when you get em and we'll find out.. It is rather nice to have this though, I usually like to have it open, but sometimes its annoying to have the cutout open.. It's just much easier..

You don't have a cutout installed yet? Well it sounds pretty good.. It's not much louder at idle, but when your driving its a huge difference.. The poping is annoying as hell though, I hate it but I don't know any way around that..

Nah I have a random tech cat and the cutout comes after it.. It still backfires really loud basically everytime you let off the gas fast
anyone else install their. i might buy one but not if they leak. i thought that with technology someone would be able to design something better than what acme out in the 70's. my dad said they leaked then and everyone just stayed with the wing nuts.

you have to remember that keith makes each indivdual powerplate at a time... they are not mass produced... since 25 of us ordered at once it will probably take him a little time to make them... hey for $95 you cant beat it

got the tracking # and im getting mine tomorrow... but installing it sometime next month when i put my headers on too. so in like 3 weeks ill let you guys know how it goes haha
I've had mine for a couple of weeks now. Can't really decide where to place it. Where did most of y'all place your cut-out?
Besides, I probably should have went a little bigger than the 3" version.
I'm not really trying to sell it but an offer of $100 might get it from me while I'm trying to decide if this will be enough for the 409 I'm building.
Anyone interested?
jms

just put mine on today. Doesn't sound as good as straight headers with no pipes at all, (got my cut out near the middle of the car, to many bends elsewhere), and I'm still running cats.
Nice idle (idle is a little louder) and low RPM sound, real "growl-ish" sounding. But DANG, past 2000 RPM, that thing SCREAMS!!! I blasted onto the freeway today, and when I say "Blasted", yea, it sounded like a blast! haha!
Probably doesn't make me any faster, but I sure like the sound! But then again, I'm from Louisiana, half the vehicles there have no mufflers, so I like that sound. (and it soooo fits my primer mobile)
I'm running edelbrock headers, with 3 inch pipeing. I opted to keep the cats because I have trouble scraping them anyway, and a cut out squeezed under there would be even more of a problem.
Mine has a slight leak, but you can't tell unless you stick your head under there. Absolutly no difference if you are in the car, or outside the car, when it's closed.

Yep, When you bring up the RPM's it's very loud, I love it.. But idle is only slightly louder.. I just had someone in my passenger seat and went down a bumpy road.. I usually have no one on my car.. BANG! the thing sits only 3-4" off the ground.. now the corner is a little bent
Oh well I just gotta be more careful.. Some people have said cutouts help a little performance wise.. Can't be much, but every little bit add's up.. The only thing I hate about the cutout is the poping and backfiring drives me crazy.. Alot of the times my third gear pops out on me and then the exhaust backfires when I let off the gas fast, or when im shifting fast it backfires.. When I downshift it starts crackling heh.. But I can live with it ..

yep, I scrape all over the place with the cutout!! haha!
nah, it's not that bad tho. Just a few spots, but dang man, i gotta go over like 8 speed bumps just to get out of my appartment (and set of a few alarms in the process now!)

actualy, now that I have it, I never close it.
I could have just spent the $25 or what ever, on just the cut out pipe itself. But, I'm sure i'll want to close it someday, like if I ever get a girl

Exactly the reason I'm waiting for some feedback from everyone else on the leaking issue.. I held the switch a couple extra seconds to make sure it was fully closed, and I can hear ticking and feel air coming out from part of the bottom left side.. It may just be as simple as placing some RTV in there to seal it up who knows.. Might just be mine with the problem.. We'll see..
