That just makes it even better.. Sorry but as good as this is, it's not the best thing I've ever bought in any way.. I had them make it so the LED is on when the unit is closed, well sometimes the LED does not even turn on, and the other day I closed the plate and then I wanted to reopen it and the switch would not work!! I kept trying over and over and finally it started to work.. Not very happy with it to be honest.. I got mine and am actually fairly at ease with saying its a good product overall. I have, however, reconsidered installing it for a while as I have yet to even install my exhaust and even the seats (my car is strictly a project car). So just having it sit here for the next few months isn't worth it when someone here might still want one.
So, if there is anyone still interested in a new and never installed 3" Powerplate, email or PM me.

that would have been so sweet about back in the summer of 99 but ive since changed my exhaust and left my car at home to wait for me. I had cutouts right behind my headers made with header collectors but i got tired of taken off my caps so i got dual exhaust put on that exited out the side. then i cut off the pipe that came out the sides so it dumps out under the car.

i have not had any problems with the opening/closing of the plate... i hooked it up to my battery and it worked fine. i am not sure about the leakage but i will be installing it this week i ordered the jegs 3" in/out cutout today. So i cant wait for it to come then i get chop up my intermediate pipe to accomodate the cutout .... whoooooohooooo!

Mine leaks a little, but you can't tell untill you bend down and almost get under the car. The normal engine exhaust doesn't sound louder (well, if it is, it's not much) than when I didn't have the cutout.

I still haven't got around to installing mine yet... to many other more important projects going on... like a hatch pull down rebuild. I guess since my exhaust leaks a little bit anyways I'm not going to really care if the plate leaks a little bit when it's closed. So here's a new thing for us to talk about... Where is the cheapest cut out sellers? I know Jegs has 3 inch's for 29 bucks.
Also has anyone used the dead soft aluminum or copper gaskets with it or just the el cheapo paper kinds? Thinking about using the jegs cooper gaskets on mine. There only 10 bucks for 2 3 inchs and come with the bolts/lock nuts too.
