Headers: 1 3/4 or 1 5/8 on a 350???

I have a 350 in my car, and was looking for a cheap exhaust setup for my car, but every "good deal" I find is 1 5/8 which is what most people seem to be running on their 305s. The point of doing an exhaust is to unclog the mill, so should I just get the SLP 1 3/4s for $375 on a group purchase? It's what they recommend for a 350. Oh, and my car is daily driven to college every day year round. So would 1 5/8s be better for low end torque? Or are 1 3/4s still better for power (I do plan to hit the track some).

Get the SLP's,if you ever do engine mods the headers are already paid for where as if you buy the TES you will have to upgrade later anyway.Pay once.Do a search on these two headers, many unhappy with the TES(yes SLP too,but not as many).I have the SLP 1 3/4 on my Z,with NO complaints about anything.
