slp,edelbrock,hooker
im in a process on purchasing emission legal headers, but i dunno which brand to buy. I also need a y-pipe. Waht brand you guys think i should buy.

SLP if you can afford it. The hookers are nice as well. Edelbrocks are fine. I chose coated edelbrocks because I got them for cheaper than the others uncoated. Wish I had slp coated, but these are fine for a while.

I've got Jet-Hot coated SLPs, only because I got them cheap enough to justify buying them. If not for a rare opportunity, I'd have the Hooker 2055s. For best bang for your buck, I think they come out on top, and some even seem to think they have a performance advantage because of the larger collectors and Y-pipe. Even the Edelbrocks have their followers.
I say get the SLPs if you can part with the money, if not, I'd get the Hookers.

Performance is the biggest reason to install headers by far. I'm not going to mention any HP/torque numbers, but you should notice a big difference in "seat of the pants" feel. Most people seem to, and if they don't, normally they just need to do some tuning to take advantage of the increased exhaust flow.
