NO WAY MARK! IF I got rid of my flowmaster and put on a spintech/magnaflow/Hooker id be running 10's y0!

I seen a 400 hp 79 Z28 with a flowmaster exhaust at the track. The sound =
:hail: :hail: :hail: I would have to say that any muffler would be better over stock, for whoever that was that was asking, even flow would be better than stock. That is true about the HP gain from one brand to the other, on a mild engine like most of us have, you probably won't feel much of anything, if so, very little. It all comes down to sound preference. All I know is that when I replaced my stock cat. and muffler with a carsound and spintech, it ran 100% better. I'll stick to spintech I think for all of my cars, because when you know something works, and you are pleased with it, you use it again and again. -89IRO

You can put any tips you can think up on any size pipe really. As long as the entrance is 2.5", they can get bigger...?? Wow, that's got to be the world's hardest sentence to read. I think spintech makes the same muffler as 343SC except with dual 3" outlets don't they? Check it out. -89IRO

hey if you really want to gain the best peformance from a muffler go buy a rolls royce muffler probally like solid gold around $55,000.
:hail: :hail:
or go buy the muffler of the presidents car it has to be a performance muffler to get him out of any problems.Or maybe he just has a electric exhaust cut out and 2 BIG bottles of nos.And of course you.
CAN ALWAYS ADD A COUPLE OF NOS,V TEC,K&N stickers to your car and the muffler to .TO get some horsepower.

I have a question on whether or not i should put exhaust on my car right now. Hopefully sometime this summer i will have a 350 put in my car and i was wondering if i should wait to do the exhaust then or just do it now. My car burns a little oil and rolls some smoke at startup and after idling for a few minutes. Would this harm a new exhaust system?? I want to know if it would be a bad idea to put it on before my swap. Thanks

Im in the middle of building my new motor for my 91 RS and had my heart set on a pair of 50 series delta flow mufflers.I had looked at the spintechs in the past but I like the way the flowmasters sound. Now you guys got me looking for flow numbers and listening to sound bites again:sillylol:
Oh, dude, go with spintech, you'll be kicking yourself later. Sound, quality, and the fact that you'll be different. That's all I can tell you. Have fun with you big decision...or should it be a BIG decision?? LOL. -89IRO

It all depends what your looking for. For a loud agressive throaty sound, flowmaster all the way IMO. :hail: They are popular for a good reason

might know where to pic up a few of them

but yeah it does sound like a pissin contest
why not just go with bullet mufflers
IMHO best sound and best flow
Yeah, those bullets have to be the best flowing out of anything. They are straight through and they have nealy none of the ceramic stuff which is why they are so loud I think. Slap those babies on and there will be no need for a cut-out! -89IRO

Well they have to have a nice source of income to advertise
As far as sound goes, thats not worth argueing about. Everyone has there opinion on what sounds good and bad. But I def don't think spintech gives you the same sound. :lala:

I know, both flow and spintech have a totally different sound. I know which is better, but I don't feel like arguing over some damn mufflers, I've made my point. Oh, and must your posts be that huge? J/K -89IRO

Haha haha haha haha, LOL LOL!!!!!!
Yes, I am happy, and as long as you are happy with your flow, then the world is one big gay happy place to live. When other members ask what others think, or ask for advice, damn right I'm gonna tell them what I think, deal with it. And for 25, shut your pie hole and stick to your oil filters. Haha haha haha, J/K dude. I hope you are once again agreed. -89IRO

Nobody even asked for your opinion though. It's too bad you feel like an oil filter is an insignificant part of your car. My car will last because I take care of it, as for your car I feel sorry for it because you feel that it's funny to research anything for it.

I never said you couldnt.
Props to 25 who summed it up perfectly:
"Agreed once again, it's a matter of OPINION. Noone is right or wrong about which sounds the best. I myself think flowmaster sounds the best, others might not agree, but neither is right or wrong because it is all a matter of OPINION. And no, I am not biased, I don't even own flowmaster, but I wish I did."
Ouch. Well, you seem to get sensitive when others talk about your exhaust, that's all. 25- Please don't feel sorry for my car, it doesn't feel sorry for you now does it? It's sad how you feel sorry for my car when you know nothing about it. Get a life. I don't need to flair this up even more than it already is so that's it. -89IRO

Thanks dudes
25, I got some more sound clips too
89, Its cool. I got no problems with you or anyone who dosent like flowmaster. I just get pissed at the bashing thats all
(Ex: Someone starts a flowmaster thread asking what series to get and someone comes in and is like "Yo, dont get flowcrapper, they dont flow and they sound like crap...etc")
It came stock with the blue decals. Just took this shot 10 minutes ago

OMG, that is shiny as hell. Just lettin you know, this wasn't one of those threads that you described. But I have been known to voice my opinion when people are set on buying a new muffler. I just like to see people be happy, and I know I'm happy with my muffler, so I think people should experience that. I agree with anyone saying it is an opinion thing, but that is sometimes hard to get over when you are so happy with your new toy and I think everbody can agree with that. -89IRO
