Got some q's on early vs late smog systems
Hey my dad gave me a set of shorty hookers with air tubes. The problem is they are for a TPI motor, where the rubber tube that goes into the Air tube comes from the back on the drivers side. While on my 82 LG4, it faces thefront. Would it be possible to somehow get a later smog system and get it to work with ease?
Heres the later model

And heres the earlier model. I can't find a pic of the metal tube, but this is the rubber piece that goes to the driver side.

why not just buy a new set of headers than going through all the hassle of swaaping in a new A.I.R. system? Much easier and probably cheaper...
