I am about to drop a motor into an 86 IROC, my question is, should I put the headers on the block before dropping the motor in, or after? Which is easier? The headers in question are most likely old SLP Tri-Y's, shorty to mid length. Any issues with steering assembly etc.

 

Put new motor mounts in and drop it with the headers on. Should be fine.
