gutting or just use a pipe
Okay i passed emmssions so i still have my cat on i dont have to go till next year feb so would my exhaust sound the same if i were to gut the cat or just use a 3 inch pipe and does either of them flow better the gutted cat or the pipe.Also the muffler shop i took it to didnt weld the end of the y pipe to the cat they used some stuff thats like putty but when it dried it dried like stone its really hard and it stopped the leaks what is it.

I would use a 3 inch pipe in place of the cat becasue ive heard cats gutted before and i think it definately sounds better with just a straight pipe, it will actually be a little louder which is good lol. the only thing i could think of would be jb weld but im not sure if it would hold up to such high temps.

what they used was exhaust puddy... you can buy it at most auto stores too.... its a halfass way to do the job IMO though.
