Um, that might vary from state to state. I know in NJ that if your car is over 25 years, it can be considerd a "classic" car, and you get special plates and registration. down side is you only can drive up to 3-4k miles a year. so your only gunna be hitting up the local car shows.
.... yea they are cause they make you fill out a sheet and mail a dated picture of the odomiter... people get around it by doing all sorts of stuff, but usualy if you have a QQ car, you dont wana drive it cause its in 100% awesome shape.

Some states do some dont. Up North you still need a sticker to get tags every year even on older cars. In some parts of C.A they only get tested in the car is 1973+.

one thing you can do to drive ur car how ever much u want when u have the 3-4k mile rule on it is just tage out the speedo gear, simple and done.
