What's your SIZE????

Whats the size of a 305 tbi tail pipe is it 2 1/2 or smaller and how much horsepower do you really lose from not using mandrel bends becuase i still have the stock tail pipe and its got the notches where it was bent and its kind of warped some parts its small other parts its bigger. And the muffler connection to the tail pipe isnt lookin to cool it looks like the garage tried to put it togother with there eye's closed. :lala:

also whats the best size i should use om my 305 tbi i plan to get a 350 this summer in place of the lil 305.

You have to have horsepower to lose horsepower, not a prob w/ the 305 TBI platform.

Depends on how you look at it, you're not really losing HP since the exhaust is stock. But, you could gain some HP with a 3'' cat-back and mandrel bent.

The stock exhaust is 2 1/4 inches and very restrictive. You could stand to gain a substancial amount of power by getting headers and 3 inch exhaust.

the only thing i put on my exhaust was a 2 1/2 inch inlet flowmaster muffler.

so how much horse power should i gain if i were to use slp 1 5/8 headers with the y pipe and hooker cat back system with 3 inch pipe.

I would say 30-40 fwhp, but I wouldn't go with slp's. You should definitely consider the hooker 2055's.
