Extension pipe off cutout?
hey as i was lying in bed last night i thought that if i was to get a cutout, would it be possible (or smart) to make a strait pipe with a 3-bolt flange welded on one end to put onto the cutout when it is opened up? then just have the exhaust exit the out the side. im thinking this would be good because then i wouldn't get all that black suit all over the bottom of my car. ground clearance is the only thing i see as being a problem. any ideas??

i was thinking of that myself except use a bullet race muffler, so you could have a quiet regular exhuast and then another loud exhaust. The problem is that you would have to literally have to take off the pipe and muffler each time to take the flange block off on the cutout. I think you wouldn't have to though with mccord power plater or other similar system.

i don't mind about taking the thing off everytime b/c it would just be a pipe that i would throw in my trunk or sumthin. i was just wondering if it would work at all because of the angle of the cutout. anyone got pics of their cutouts from the side??
