Hey guys i bought my headers back when i had the 305 tbi in my car and didn't know much. The y-pipe is 2 1/4 inch after the 2 pipes merge correct?? so is it possible for me to take it to a exhaust place and have then cut the 2 1/4 off and put 3 in on there? thats wuth the tpi y-pip is right?? All I really want is to make my car louder. I have tes headers, gutted cat, some 3 inch I-pipe and a 80 flowmaster and people are constantly saying why is your car so quiet. Like if I am driving at anything under 2 grand my car is loud as my mom buick lol. so if i made the y-pipe 3 inch and put some 3 inch tips on my car do u think it woudl do anyting at all or am i just wasteing my money?? thanks guys

Buy this and have the muffler shop cut off the old one and weld this one in.
