Heated O2 sensor

I have a set of headers on my 87 T/A. I have heard that a heated O2 sensor will improve my computer's operation once headers are installed on the car. I would like to know of anyone who has upgraded from a one wire O2 sensor to a heated one, what year/brand car they used the O2 sensor from, and maybe a wiring schematic to go by to wire it up. I am assuming that one of the wires is for the sensor portion, and the others (however many there are) are for the heater? Any and all help with this matter would be appreciated.

From what i have gathered up so far, the one to use would be a Bosch #13077. It is from a early 90s Vette, ZR1 maybe?? Anyway, i have also come up with a possible AC Delco # which is 258003077. Have not researched that # yet. I have seen prices from $57 up to $90. Check out http://www.carparts.com/ As far as wiring it up, some people use the fuel pump relay to wire up the 12V it needs. This way it is on when the fuel pump is on, and not all of the time. Don't really know the best way to do it, so any help with that i would appreciate too! Thanks

I used the part #(12126012) they mention in this link, when I ordered it I asked them to tell me what vehicle it was actually for and he told me a 97 Chevy pick-up. When I buy the sensor I will get one for the same vehicle as the harness I have, I am also going to take the harness with me just to make sure the connection is the same. The heated sensor is about $50 at Autozone for a Bosch, the harness cost me $35 at the dealer. I havent installed it yet because I am dealing with some other issues with the car. I have also been trying to find a little more info on the install without much luck, I guess it is pretty easy, but I would still like to see some pics of one installed on a third gen. Check out this link.

Sorry, no pics, but I have a 4 wire heated sensor from a 95 LT1. I just went to the junkyard to find the harness I needed. The oxygen sensor on one of the 3.1 liter v6's they had fit. Here is a link, but I dont think that the colors matched mine exactly. http://csce.uark.edu/~jgbertr/rb/1995_pcm2.jpg This link is for a 95 LT1. It is easier to use a 3 wire, but I got this one for free and all I had to do was one more ground. You can find the one that is the extra ground because it has continuity with the sensor housing since it is just there to make sure that the sensor gets a good ground instead of only grounding through the exhaust pipe. I just wired the 2 grounds together and to a ground and then I think the purple wire went to the origional oxygen sensor wire and the last wire was power.
