it's still got the stock exhaust on it, including dual cats. My old 87 has a hooker setup that I've liked over the years - but it's a single cat setup.

After searching the boards - Banks seems to be my only option if I want to keep the dual cats.

Does anyone have comparison figures/opinions between the Hooker cat-back and the Banks cat-back? What about high-flow cats....for a dual cat system. Any suggestions?

I can speak for the Banks only.It has a very authoritive tone to it that is not overbearing but definately is noticeable!..IMO it is a better value than the hooker because it is stainless and for about the same price!..I had my car dynoed a year or so ago & if I remember correctly it netted 14.1hp increase after the Banks cat back install.I highly recommend the Banks kit !..good luck

since you are in houston I would check out Speed demon motorsports.They can get the Banks kit for you ...Enjoy it!

 

anybody got part numbers handy?

I went to a local place that deals with Banks, and they called them and Banks said they aren't being produced. I just want to get this exhaust system....tired of the hassle.

 

49111 is the part # you will need.Did you contact Speed demon Motorsports in houston?..I know they can get it for you.Like I have said before;most companies do not know that Banks will still produce the system ,but it is ONLY sold through their dealer network upon request.myself & several others here had ran into that problem as well.IT IS AVAILIBLE~I may be wrong on this one,but I think I remember talking with a guy there at Banks named "Kenny"...you may want to call and ask for him
