Cutting the tips?

I orderd the hooker cat back yesterday, and i was thinking about the dual tips... I dont like the look of the strait cut on the tips... could i have them cut at an angle? anyone try this? I think it would give it a different look to it... anyone? also vote in the poll

i prefer the look of no tips personally....... i dont think they fit the rear of our cars very well..

but im kinda wierd like that.... most people seem to think that two huge tips showing means they have power.... kind of like how the r_i_c_e_r_s think one huge tip means power.....

Why not just get Borla tips since they have basically what you are wanting to do??

I didn't think I liked the look of the Hooker tips either, but when I got mine out of the box, they began to grow on me. By the time I got the rest of the system installed, I had decided to go with them, and thought if I got tired of looking at them, I'd replace them later. They're still on the car.
BTW, how would you cut them without discoloring the chrome, or introducing rust at the cut edges?

if i cut them at like a 60* angle, i think they would look pretty good. i would just get some chrome spray and be done with it... i was thinking of the borla tips, but then if people see borla tips there gunna wana see borla exhaust. Maybe ill just get big **** slant cut single exhaust tips from this shop about 20 mins from me.... they have them in like 3ft long! anyway.. im waiting for my exhaust.. i hope to do it weds.. maybe tomorrow ill start taking part the old exhaust. heheh ethen ill run around with no cat and basicly a dump! hehe that is gunna be loud!

What's up Brian and Al?

I MAY be getting a Borla system this month and am considering putting the 4th gen tips on it. Anyone have any interest in the tips that come on the Borla (system 14888)?

Let me know...
