What kind of coating for headers???

OK, I had always figured that I'd chose the chrome/polished look. Not really sure what it's called, but I think you guys know what I'm talking about. Well, after being to a few shows this year, I've noticed that the plain ole grey color is what I think I'd rather have. Follow my "stock" look a little better. Is this a coating, or are they simply un-coated?

the gray coatin u see on most headers is either the hi-temp spray paint stuff or its a hi-temp coating like on the jet hot headers but they didnt want to get the steraling finish.

A buddy of mine has a set of hooker headers that had the Jet Hot coating. We put them on last year. We will be removing them so he can return them because that are starting to flake badly. The good thing about Jet Hot is that they recoat them for free. Not bad if you don't mind removing your headers every year and pay for shipping to send them back.

You have a few options.

They make a CAST IRON GRAY,
Sterling. etc.

I can get any of em. if your interested. I do ceramic, powder and thermal coatings myself.
E-mail me if interested
