What headers can I buy with matching Y pipe? What about the Y pipe to the cat back? I want a off road pipe, no emissions.

you can get the headmen headers and y-pipe for pretty cheap from www.jegs.com if you want stock appearing setup anyway. what are your options as far as ground clearance and things like that. are you wanting a catback or true duals or what? flowmaster, dynomax, borla, hooker, just to name a few, all make catbacks for our cars. try a search (button located at top left corner of page) to see what you can come up with.

Who makes 1 3/4 headers and Y pipe? I'm not gonna run a cat. Does anyone make a pipe to go in place of the cat? Who makes a true dual set up for these cars? The car isn't lowered.

Thanks

well, if you are going for shorty headers then i would suggest the slp headers, cause they are the only company that sells shorties in 1 3/4". i believe that they come with a y-pipe. hooker sells a set of 1 3/4" long tubes that are really good. those are the ones i am going with. if you want to run a catback setup though, you will have to have someone fab up a y-pipe for you. no one currently makes a y-pipe for longtubes that are a direct bolt in. or you could go with duals but you loose ground clearance. the thing with duals is no one makes them as a direct bolt in. you will either have to go to a shop or do it yourself. as far as the pipe in place of the cat deal, well all i can say is cut you a piece of pipe, cut the flange off of your current cat, then weld the flange onto the pipe. if ya can't weld or know someone who can do it for you, then you will have to take that to a shop as well. these are all questions that are commonly asked here at TGO and you can do a search to answer any other questions.

Appreciate you taking the time to answer my ?'s. I'm a mustang guy but I'm picking up an 86 Iroc tommorrow. I actually did a search but didn't see anything about the pipe in place of the cat. I thought they may have been a company that sold an off road pipe to go in the place of the it.

for some strange reason, we don't have some one like bbk that makes JUST camaro stuff (exhaust). it is all custom fabbed. the floor pans on these cars suck. they are not symetrical and it makes it difficult to run a dual exhuast system without sacrificing ground clearance. i have a lot of friends who are mustang guys. good to know that some are coming on to my side
