Is it worth it? Yes, even if you don't have a built motor it's worth it. I noticed a huge gain when I went from the stock exhaust on my LG4 to a true dual setup. I don't have numbers since I haven't dragged it yet (not enough time to make it up to IRP) but it was a large SOTP difference. Some people don't feel that the loss of clearance isn't worth it, but if it is run correctly you will have plenty of ground clearance and will only have to be careful on large speed bumps and big hills on country rods when you're going way to fast (been there, done that). I'd say go for it.

If you are going from stock that duals then yes, but it's definitely not worth it if you already have a good flowing single pipe exhaust. You lose tons of ground clearance, etc. Way too many problems. I would suggest going with a nice set of headers and high flow y pipe with a 3 inch single pipe and catback. You will get very similar performance without all the hassles.

I would atleast get a bigger 3 inch catback, Maybe even a cutout. IMHO I wouldn't do duals.

With your setup (2055's w/ y-pipe) I wouldn't do duals. It's hard to do them on shorty's, now longtubes, that's a different story. For your application I would say a good 3" catback system should work well. Hooker sells a good one for around $200.

Hooker shorties, full 2½" duals, near or better than stock ground clearance.. http://www.deadbird.org/a/duals.htm
Worth doing if you can DIY ? I suppose if you like doing that crap.
Worth having someone make ? Unless power justifies it (i.e. willie), doubtful.
Better than a good 3" ? Who knows, I've yet to see any comparison tests. I'd guess it's minimal, if any, gains though.
Better sound than single ? Definatly.
But, as my sig says...

I went from single 3" with a 3" bullet to dual 2 1/2" with an x pipe and 2 2 1/2" bullets, the sound is way better and there was a definate performance gain.

I have NO flow problems??

Long tube into a 3 inch Y pipe into a 4 inch single pipe that goes over the axle into a 4 inch Flowmaster Race Muffler and out a 4 inch tail pipe. No clearance issues at all and I guarentee you've never heard anything like it.

Thanks D M N & LilJay. One day I'll get around to making a new dual in-out muffler and redoing the rear section. I like the currnet sound but, the bass tone at low rpms is a little too irritating to me. I want to bring the tone up a little and the loudness down just a little more.

LilJay.. As a matter of fact I do, I live in Evv as well. How's the 4thgen wing ? I'm working on mine slowly here

Heck man I didn't know you where here in town too. I didn't go with the 4th gen wing. I don't think I have ever seen your car around town. You drive it much? I just got mine out last week.
