Hooker or Flowmaster?
I have been researching 2 exhaust systems; the Hooker and Flowmaster. Does anyone have a Hooker system and can tell me if they like it, what they don't like, installation ease, sound, etc.? I listened to one of the clips on the site and I think that one of them is the Hooker system. If it is, it sounds louder than the Flowmaster. Just looking for opinions.
I know the Flowmaster system and have only heard good things about it. I was looking at the 3" system with an 80 series 1 in, 2 out muffler (#17151).
Also, is there anywhere I can get the ypipe that runs from the manifolds to the cat? Local shop?
Thanks for the help.
89 RS, 305 rebuilt and bored 30 over, everything else is stock and original.

Id get which ever one sounds best to you. Install should be the same for both.
The only thing I can tell ya is that the flowmaster system is louder IMO. And definetly louder inside the car.
At WOT both systems are probably just as loud as each other.

Which tips do you like better, the flowmaster or hooker?

I tend to prefer the look of the single tip, like the Flowmaster. I think the quad tips look better on Firebirds. I think I have decided to go with the Flowmaster system though. It seems to be the best one for the relatively lower cost.
