stragiht pipes??
stragiht pipes??
ok, guys, iv'e had a brain storm...
does anyone think it would be possib;e to fab up a pipe that bridges the area that the muffler now sits in, to where the pipe that goes over the axel would fit striaght into one of the tips and a curved piece of pipe, that is connected somewhere in the middle of that middle pipe would fit into the other tip???
would be freakin' loud!! no? i would like to know 1.) is this is possible 2.) if anyone could weld a piece like this up for me...(my welder is on the outs and i don't suppose i'll be able to affod another one 'till next year)

Straight pipes sound like ****. Run 3" single exhaust or dual 2 1/2" pipes and always use mufflers unless you have a cut-out.

I did it on my 82 trans am was very loud even with a catlytic converter, my neighbor has a 1990 corvette with mufler eliminators there basically small resonators where the mufflers were his sounds very healthy but not noisy

SLP makes something similar for the 4th gen cars.. Their "Loud-Mouth" system... I believe it is just a resonator up front after the catalytic converters, then piping for the rest...

I used smaller pipe and did that on my car and it was almost Quiet. Then I broke a hanger andjust dumped it before the rear...Straight pipe, Gutted cat...Sounds WAY TOO LOUD. This is just till I get my new motor in exhaust in.... Straight pipes with just a cat on our cars sound like ***!
