I know some of you guys that live in California are running headers. So my question is two fold. What headers are legal here? Would I see any real gains from them (see sig for what I already have done)? I have read that the stock manifolds flow decently, and I have read people say they are restrictive, which is it?

 

Get the headers with AIR injection and a CARB EO number. I know Hooker makes CA smog legal headers, SLP does, my Edelbrocks are smog legal just passed recently with them on. The stock manifolds are just plain horrible. You will notice a big improvement with new headers and y-pipe.

 

The hooker 2055s are smog legal...as for slp, I can care less since I am going with hooker. Trans87- hey, I im in Glendora, do you know of any place to get them installed? And how much do most places charge? Thanks.

 

Dyno Don has a shop in Orange. Check out the So. Cal boards for him. He charges a good rate and does a lot of work on 3rd gen F-bodies. He did mine when he swapped the engine in.
