???????'s bout exaust on a V6
aight i been lookin round for headers for a 3.4l and a 2.8l V6.
i found some decent 1's from edlebrock but they r for a 2.8l s10.
my ? is will they fit in my 84 firebird even tho they say they for a s10?????
and also since i read that a lot of parts r basically interchangable on the 2.8 and 3.4 will headers for a 2.8l fit a 3.4?????
and if ne1 has the maniac motors 3" exaust. would i have to use shorty headers with a V6??????
any help be great
thanx ed

The S10 headers won't fit without modification, from what I understand.
There's this sticky on the V6 forum:

Pacesetter makes 3.4L headers, that will fit into the 3rd gen cars with a little modification.
All you gotta do is heat the pipes up with a propane torch or MAPP Gass until they are glowing orange, and bend them to fit. Takes a little bit of trial and error, but they do work.
And they wont be CARB legal in our 3rd gens, so if you live in California or NJ, dont get them.
Pacesetter is ALSO making some headers specifically for our cars, and will be CARB legal, but they might not be done until like december or so.
