Hedman Header question

I have a set of Hedmans on my 89 RS, with the A.I.R tubes on it. I took off the smog pump awile back and now have those stupid AIR tubes with some home made caps, looks like crap. I want to find some caps or something to put on them. Any one know where I can pick up a set and what size or have any ideas?

Sorry i dont know the sizes but, you could cut the tubes off and weld them shut.

if thoes tubes screw in like stock ones, you can remove them and put pipe plugs in them... small allen key ones look ok...

if they are welded in, you can always cut them off, grind the remains away, weld over it, grind that smooth then paint/coat them and it would look like they were never there.

They dont remove, they are welded to the main pipes, but they branch up and conect to the air tubes. Its this branch I wan't to cap. The cutting and welding idea is a good idea, but the headers on in the car, and arent coming out for a bit, I just want to clean up in there with out making this in to a major project.

Get a small bolt cutter (12" handles or so). Cut off the tubes about 1" above the primary tubes. Bend them over at mid-point of what's left and squeeze together/flatten w/vice grips. The bolt cutter would probably seal off the tube, but bending it over one more time will improve the chances they won't leak.

Then hope having a functional A.I.R. system never becomes an issue for your use of the car on public streets & roads.
