Can clogged cats damage anything?

Sensors, head gaskets, anything?

Also, since I am "fixing" my cats (a lot sooner than expected),
what should be done with the A.I.R tubes? I read something about using pipe sealer? Will this work and could it be reversible?

Feel free to through in your two cents, or any amount of change for that matter!

Thanks.

You're not kidding! I'm afraid of on ramps now!

BTW, what is the difference between a knock and a ping?

No, it's not a riddle, I just don't know the sound each one makes.

Is there a such thing as a spark plug ping or is it the same?
