I've been trying to get around to getting my exhaust done for a while now, and am gonna have a shop do it because of the welding that's going to be required. I've got the hookers jet hot coated, and didnt get a ypipe because of the price. Instead I got a little footlong universal Y, and want to run 2.5" pipe from the headers into the Y and have it come out 3". I've called several places, and the only guy that even said MAYBE says he doesn't think it will be possible to bend a 2.5" pipe sharp enough to clear whatever is under there by the headers. I'm nowhere near my car, so I can't go find out what's there that might interfere. I assume people have done this before, not using a premade Y, so I ask you, is the 2.5" pipe too big to bend and clear? I dont see why it would be, when the stock stuff is not all that much smaller.
