Whats the best sounding exhaust system for my TBI 305?

Hey people as u probley already know i own a 305TBI special edition firebird convertable and i want this cars rumble to be louder then the stock one. I heard dynomax sells a cat-back system for 170 bucks how the hell could u go wrong, i never heard one tho but if u guys say it sounds good il def give it a try. Im in college i dont have the money to spend around 500 bucks but maybe 2-300 is possible. Interior noise wont be a problem i want a car thats fairly loud at idle and even louder at high RPM's....People give me some info hell if thrushpacks will do the trick guys jus let me know i want this thing loud!!

How loud do you want it?

I had a Dynomax catback on my now sold 89 vert TBI and it sounded pretty decent. Not overpowering loud, but it sounded nice and mean. Right now I'm running a Hooker catback on my 88 LB9 which sounds much throatier than the Dynomax.

Listen to a few sound clips on the internet. That will probably make your final decision a lot easier than a bunch of us telling you what our preferred exhaust sound is.

Then do not get a dynomax. It is not what you want. I would recommend a flowmaster, or even better a cutout.

If you want it real loud get a cutout... If you want it loud and raspy get a flowmaster... if you want it throaty and snarly get a hooker.

I got a Hooker cat-back it sounds nice and throaty plus it comes with dual tips on each side. Only runs about $270.

You want loud???? Get straight pipes. You want good tone? Get a Gale Banks system, they are just wicked...I'm not too partial to Flowmaster cuz EVERYONE has it and they sound kinda....hollow and annoying to me on anything stock. (not to disrespect you flowmaster guys)
here's a link for the Gale System
