One of my exahus hangers has been broken for awhile and I just replaced it today, but now with my exhaust back in the right place the part of the pipe that goes over the axle is touching the heat shield above it. I took it out for a test drive and I can feel the vibration from the exhaust at certain rpms when in drive. What I'm worried about is if the exhaust heats the heat sheild up too much and something melts or burns or worse. Is this a problem? or should I be fine like this?

 

I wouldn't worry about it, but I would try to fix it just to get rid of that annoying vibration. I know all about those pesky things.
