I bought an 80 series flowmaster muffler thinking that it would go in to replace the stock one without any trouble, my mistake. It has a 3" inlet. If I take it to a shop in my area do you think they could put on a pipe from my stock cat to this muffler? I plan to get headers and a 3" cat down the road but I need a new muffler to pass inspection for now... Any help is appreciated...

 

They make an 80 series with a 2.5 inlet. Send the 3 inch one back and get the one you need.
