My exhaust rattles!!! ?!?!?
Okay I should really get a more personalized page now that i got the car I really want. two days ago I traded my 83 V6 firebird to a guy for a 83' Z28 Camaro with Cregar rims, 2" cowl induction hood, B&M megashifter, new built from the ground up 350, dual exhaust, Rochester quadrajet carberator i think and damn this thing has power!! And the paint is great.
Which Brings me to my poiint. when the car starts and while it is rumbling the exhaust rattles something. The guy took out a few trim pieces pieces in the trunk and there is no spare tire in the trunk either. is it because there is no weight holding the rear so it is light enough for the exhaust to rattle it? Im not sure....It rattles pretty loud when the car is accerating and then when I level out my speed it stops. when i touch the tail pipe it stops.

how low is the back of the car? my 82 T/A was so low when i got it that if i hit a bump the rear end would smack the bottom of the car (Bad shocks i know) it could be ratteling against the rear end or maybe the heat shield for the gas tank depending on how the exhaust is bent.
Just hop under there and start shaking the pipes around, you'll find where it's hitting

Check for broken/loose exhaust clamps, torn/broken hangers, etc.
Have someone get in the car and put it in drive with their foot on the brakes while you hop under the car and check it out.

hey thanks for all the info. I realized it was a bracket missing but the guy put a bracket in a different area so he said when i come to his shop he will just bend the pipe out of the way a bit. So thats all good.
Now another problem is when i turn the car and it is moving slow something squeals. its damn embaressing in crowded areas. especially for my baby being all smooth as she looks right now
So what could it possibly be? normally driving is smooth. think i should check for power steering fluid or is it the belts? my brother said it might be the wheels in the front don't have the clearance to turn properly but i doubt it is that because when driving at least 15 mph they don't sqeak and its easy to turn as well. i don't know....please shed some light

Squealing is most likely a belt.
Whining is most likely power steering either air in the pump or low on fluid -- runnin' dry.
